Fluid Exchange 2005
The mattress is a familiar yet unexplored object. Deconstructing its conceptual implications, autobiographical and emotional meaning, as well as its very structure, I arrived at forms that still represent the body. I considered the mattress as both a personal, private space and as a receptacle like the body itself absorbing, holding, filtering and excreting fluids.
